Nothing leaves here young
Every one of our wines rests at least three years before we sell it. The Syrah Barrique on our list today is from 2013, 2015 and 2016.
The numbers behind our wines
- 24 months
- Our Syrah spends two years in oak barrels, and goes into the bottle unfiltered.
- 3,000 l/ha
- About 3,000 litres per hectare: less than Burgundy permits for its Grand Crus.
- 7.5 ha
- About 35,000 bottles a year. Of our 2022 Malagouzia we bottled 1,160.
- 650 m
- Our Syrah grows at this height, on the slopes of Mount Vermio near Veria.
Three wines we make that you rarely find elsewhere
- Koukounari – Chardonnay with a little pine resin: our take on retsina.
- Rondo Blanc – Malvasia and nothing else, from vines we found neglected between houses and brought back. We know of only three other Greek wines made from Malvasia alone.
- Terzetto – Assyrtiko and Malagouzia, picked on the same day and pressed together.

Coming by car? Drive in through Trilofos, just south of us — that route is asphalt the whole way. Some navigation apps suggest a shorter dirt track from the north; please don't follow it.

Our family has made wine since the 1950s, first in the Rhine valley in Germany. We are the third generation. Our story in Greece began in 2002; today Florian and Felix live here.
